On 27 February 2026, the Polish BBioNets partner, the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation (IUNG), hosted a policy workshop bringing together researchers, practitioners, advisors and policymakers to spark a discussion on strengthening local bioeconomy policies and supporting the implementation of Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs).
The region’s strengths, needs, and growth potential identified ahead of prior to the event were presented as a foundation for discussions during the workshop. Through interactive dialogue and collaborative sessions, participants worked on shaping new policy proposals and refining practical recommendations to address challenges in priority intervention areas.
This workshop is part of a broader series organised by BBioNets partners across Europe. Insights gathered from each regional event will contribute to the development of evidence-based policy recommendations at both local and European levels — helping integrate concrete actions into development strategies and accelerating the adoption of sustainable, innovative bio-based technologies.
