18th May & 10th June 2026
Written by: Marina Torres Vela, CTA
On 18 May and 10 June 2026, two mentoring sessions took place within the BBioNets project, aimed at accelerating the adoption of Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs) in the olive oil sector. Both sessions were held online and were led by Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía (CTA) and Tepro Consultores Agrícolas (TEPRO).
The sessions brought together farmers, farm managers, cooperatives, olive oil mills, and technicians from the olive sector, as well as other stakeholders interested in the circular bioeconomy.
The first session focused on identifying the needs of the sector. To this end, dynamic participation tools — including Mentimeter — were used to encourage active exchange among attendees and to collaboratively capture participants’ real needs.
The second session centred on a direct exchange with experts. Speakers included Antonio Rodríguez García (Coop. Agrícola San Isidro de Loja, S.C.A.), Francisco Javier Navas Martos (Andaltec), and Juan Pedro Romero Trueba (MAPA). The session also featured a “train the trainers” segment, during which BBioNets’ Online Knowledge Platform and BBTs Assessment Tool were presented.
