BBioNets’ 2nd Info-Day was held during the agricultural exhibition “Naše pole 2025 – Nabočany” on 10 June 2025 and gathered approximately 68 participants from across the agricultural, research, advisory, and policy sectors. Organised under the BBioNets project by HUB-CR, the session served as a platform for exchanging knowledge on the adoption and dissemination of Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs).

The event highlighted BBioNets’ core mission to strengthen collaboration between Operational Groups (OGs), farmers, advisors, and researchers, ensuring that innovative solutions are effectively transferred into practice. Discussions focused on the regional relevance of BBTs and the important role OGs play in testing and adapting these technologies to local conditions.

Participants identified several key challenges to wider adoption, including high initial investment costs, technical complexity, regulatory constraints, and limited access to specialised advisory services. It was also noted that the project-based nature of OGs often limits long-term impact, particularly due to insufficient follow-up support and weak connections to national advisory systems.

At the same time, the session emphasised practical solutions aligned with the BBioNets approach. Demonstration farms and peer-to-peer learning were highlighted as essential tools for building trust and encouraging uptake among farmers. Strengthening the integration of OG outcomes into digital platforms, advisory services, and thematic networks was also identified as a key priority for ensuring continuity and scalability.

Overall, the event reinforced BBioNets’ role in facilitating cross-regional knowledge exchange and supporting the wider adoption of bio-based innovations. By bringing together diverse stakeholders, the session contributed to identifying both barriers and actionable pathways for improving the implementation of sustainable, locally adapted technologies.
