TEPRO and CTA to Showcasing the BBioNets Project at Biocircular Summit 2025 in Madrid
TEPRO and CTA (Technological Corporation of Andalusia) participated in the first edition of the Biocircular Summit 2025, which took place on 11th February in Madrid, Spain. As the Spanish partners of the BBioNets project consortium, TEPRO and CTA presented a poster highlighting the project’s objectives, progress, and impact on fostering sustainable bio-based solutions in the circular economy. BBioNets, a collaborative European initiative, focuses on advancing bioeconomy value chains by integrating innovative biotechnological, agricultural, and forestry-based approaches.
The participation of TEPRO and CTA in the Biocircular Summit underscored Andalusia’s leading role in the bioeconomy, particularly through the BBioNets Spanish FAN (Forest and Agricultural Network), a regional initiative supporting bio-based business models and fostering knowledge exchange between key stakeholders.

This event provided an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers from different regions of the country committed to accelerating the transition toward a circular and sustainable European bioeconomy. Additionally, the Andalusian partners of the BBioNets project had the opportunity to meet with some members of the Spanish FAN during the event, further strengthening regional collaboration and reinforcing synergies within the network.

TEPRO and CTA highlighted the pivotal role of biomass valorisation, waste management strategies, and bio-based innovations in reducing environmental impact and enhancing economic sustainability. They showcased how the BBioNets project emphasises the importance of cross-sector collaboration to drive the development of sustainable and efficient bioeconomy solutions. Andalusia’s FAN initiative, in particular, demonstrates the power of regional networks in fostering synergies between agriculture, forestry, and biotechnological industries. The event provided a significant platform to engage with experts, exchange best practices, and discuss how policy frameworks and technological advancements can strengthen Europe’s bio-circular economy.
By attending the Biocircular Summit, stakeholders gained valuable insights into the latest trends in bio-based innovation, connected with pioneering organisations, and explored potential collaborations to drive impactful change in the sector.
Additionally, the event featured a dedicated space for awarding different projects in various categories, highlighting the importance of European projects in advancing sustainable and circular bioeconomy solutions.
