Reviewing, summarising and updating the Needs and Resources available in Ireland
The third regional meeting of the Irish FAN was dedicated to examining the suitability of pre-selected BBTs to the specific needs of the region. Those BBTs, identified by EIP-AGRI Operational Groups and several European projects and initiatives, were screened and mapped by the BBioNets consortium and the outcomes of the FAN evaluation are intended to contribute significantly to shaping the tool’s future functionality.
In addition to this assessment, participants revisited the region’s priorities and assets, building upon the insights established during the earlier FAN meeting in April 2024. This process also included the integration of fresh data and updates collected since the prior session. Economic considerations were another focal point of the discussion.
The event took place in a virtual format on 22nd October, utilising interactive tools such as Miroboard and Mentimeter to promote active participation and collaborative input.
