BBioNets’ Knowledge Transfer activities to empower farmers, foresters and rural stakeholders have started!
In order to spread the word about the BBioNets project among Polish farmers and foresters, partner IUNG organised the project’s 1st Polish Info-Day within AgroTech – the biggest Polish agricultural fair, this year held on 14th-16th March.
AgroTech is the event presenting premieres and innovations, where farmers from Poland and abroad gather information about the latest machinery, innovative production inputs and innovative technologies. Visitors can learn about the latest developments, precision farming solutions, autonomous robots and artificial intelligence systems. The fair gathers not only agricultural practitioners and industry representatives but also advisors, researchers, policymakers and other interested groups, allowing them to collect information straight from the experts presenting their offer and engage in inspiring discussions.
During the 3-day event, visitors to the IUNG exhibition stand had the opportunity to learn more about how BBioNets is promoting the reuse of biomass through bio-based technologies (BBTs) and supporting the enhancement of farm resilience to climate change through a closed loop economy and zero waste principles. IUNG’s team presented the opportunities offered by BBioNets to interested stakeholders, especially farmers and foresters, explained the idea of BBTs it promotes, which they can browse independently on the online Knowledge Platform, and encouraged people to join or follow the future project activities.
After this fruitful weekend filled with interesting discussions, IUNG is looking forward to the next BBioNets knowledge transfer events, where they’ll be able to share further results of the work carried out in the project.
